Derek Anthony Moore Charity Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing services to meet immediate needs of members of the local community. Our services include providing information about local resources that provide emergency and temporary shelter for individuals, families, and pets. When you need assistance during a hardship or want to learn more about available opportunities in the community based on your situation, please contact us. As a tax-exempt entity, donations and contributions made qualify as a tax deduction based on federal guidelines.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide assistance to those in need through personalized services paid for by contributions and donations through the public and government funding. Community service and volunteering opportunities are available in different areas including animal shelters, tornado shelters, and private shelters for men, women, and children.
Derek’s Story
Derek Anthony Moore dedicated his life to helping disadvantaged people. Even though in his own mind he could never do enough, he was persistent in helping those in need. September 4,1996 marks an untimely end of Derek's life, becoming another innocent victim of street violence. But it also marks the beginning of what would become his legacy. DAMCI is Derek's burning torch, lighting the way to a better life for many.
